What should I know before my first class?
Bungee classes allow for an impact reduction but these classes are still very high energy. This workout may be challenging for those who don't have a cardiovascular endurance built up. Don't worry though, it will come with experience. Athletic shoes are a requirement. We recommend that leggings, bike shorts or sweatpants be worn and long hair be pulled back in a bun or braid. Shorts and crop tops may cause additional friction from the harness and could cause discomfort. Upon arrival to class each individual will be weighed privately and assisted to their station in order for the equipment to be customized accordingly. Please bring your own water bottle. Do not drink alcohol before your class, if we feel you have been drinking we have the right to ask you to leave. Eat a few hours before and use the restroom before the beginning of class, we will not take breaks once class has started.
What should men wear?
We recommend that men wear compression shorts or pants under their normal workout gear. We advice you to wear pants and not shorts. Highly supportive undergarments will be your friend.
Are there restrictions?
Due to manufacturer and equipment regulations we do have to enforce a weight limit. Participants must weigh at least 90 pounds and cannot weigh more than 275 pounds. If you are pregnant you are unable to participate. All individuals must sign a waiver in order to participate. You must be at least 13 years old to participate and if under 18 a waiver must be completed by a parent or legal guardian.
What are the class policies?
Participants will be able to come into the studio beginning 5 minutes before the class time listed. This will start the weighing and hookup process. The first 15 minutes of class are dedicated to set up and safety procedures. The door is locked while classes are in session, this is for the safety of our staff and participants. If the door is locked upon arrival please be patient as another class may still be in session. You will not be allowed in after the first 15 minutes of your scheduled class time (6:15 for a 6:00 scheduled class etc.). Do not try new skills without directions from the instructor. Do not hang from the bungees.
Do I have to take a Level 1 class?
All participants must take at least one Level 1 class before moving up to a different level. If you have been away from the studio for an extended period of time it is also recommended to take a Level 1 to refresh your skills. If you have questions of whether or not you should move up to the next level please speak with a staff member. You may also stay in a Level 1 for as long as you feel necessary. You will still get a great workout!
How do I register for classes?
Class registration occurs using our Pure Spin Studio website. You can find the link on Google or Facebook. You must register for class in order to attend, we do not offer drop in spots. Every individual must have their own account to participate. Each registration reserves one spot only. Cancellations must also be made on the same system. We understand things happen that are out of our control, if an emergency occurs please contact the studio.
Can I watch?
We do not allow spectators for the comfort and safety of both our staff and participants.
What does waitlist mean?
If a class says “waitlist” next to it, that means the class is currently full. If you select waitlist, our system will charge you as if you were in the class. If someone drops the class during the day, you will be added to the class. If you are not added, you will receive a pass back to use for another class. You are not guaranteed to make it in the class if you add yourself to the waitlist, but there is always a chance. We will always do our best to reach out to you if you got in. If you do not opt in, it will be up to you to pay attention to the class you’re waitlisted for to see if you’ve been bumped in.
What is a private party?
Private parties allow you the opportunity to have a class with your closest friends. These classes can accommodate your group that fit into our guidelines and restrictions. These are perfect opportunities for bachelor/bachelorette parties, friends night out, or group/team building events. These parties operate the same way as all our other classes with safety being our #1 priority. Regular class rules and guidelines must be followed in order to participate in these parties. Please reach out to Lindsay 931-644-2400 for scheduling and pricing questions.
